Butcher
has successfully built on previous bodies
of work as he continues to develop the capabilities
of his materials, and their spatial interaction.
Static Interference evidences an ever- increasing
boldness and ambition in his work. Butcher’s
understanding of space and the contribution
of arrangement, situation and material have
enabled him to create complex and innovative
works which challenge on many levels.
Eric Butcher lives and works in the UK.
His work has been exhibited in London, Frankfurt,
Melbourne, Bologna and San Francisco. He
currently holds a Research Fellowship at
the Arts Institute at Bournemouth and is
